So I've officially started my restoration of my Super 1130G. I've gathered all the gaskets, seals and the 2 small o rings under the oil pump. I have a sandblast cabinet but my compressor is far too small for the job so I'm buying a nice 80 gallon Quincy from Bomgaars. I have a powder coat system but haven't found the correct colors that I can use so I'm buying some dupli-color victory red and black paint. I already had the decals. I was able to find the sprocket shaft with a .404 rim sprocket and adapter so nothing in needed except the muffler shield (not holding my breath for that). I'm actually going to try to also do a video series like TJ did on his big gear drive. My son is going to help me edit the video so I can add still pictures and writing. I'm excited for the chance but nervous because I've never did a full restore on any of my Homelites, just a friend's Clinton. I'm going to probably ask a lot of questions about painting, the mechanical part is a piece of cake. I already put the carb in the ultrasonic cleaner and rebuilt it with an OEM kit. I forgot 1 thing, I'm looking for the filter felt that goes in the gas filter so if you have any Ed let me know. Attachments:

Nice project. Good luck!
And you can never have too much compressor when sandblasting. I blasted a trailer several years ago and had 3 compressors hooked up trying to maintain enough air flow!

Hi Jar,
I've heard the Dupli-color paint is both gas-proof and not, and I'm wondering which it is? Have you tested it?
thanks, bob

Not 100% certain about being gas proof but the clear coat many use definitely is. It's the 2K from Eastwood and it is supposed to be outstanding.
