Good morning. I searched around for an answer to this question and didn’t find exactly what I’m looking for. I have a SEZ with a cracked drive case in the area of the bar studs. I have tore one of these down far enough to replace the tank. Is changing the drivecase only a few more bolts from the oil pump side? There is an o ring and I would have to source the correct drivecase for my oil system I would think. Am I onto something here? Is there a bolt from the crankcase that mandates con rod removal? I didn’t pay attention when I had a few apart. Pardon my ignorance. Thanks in advance

Replacing the drivecase requires tearing the saw apart absolutely as far as it goes. Summary:
Remove starter cover, flywheel, handle bar and bracket, carb, handle/carb chamber, muffler, cylinder, connecting rod/piston, crankcase, oiler, clutch, crankshaft - now you're there.
Not trying to talk you out of it, just letting you know it's much more involved than a gas tank job.

Thank you. I will pass on that for now. Rebuild the wear components for grab and go parts, and into storage. Starter Carb Bar Clutch cover Fuel and oil caps
Didn’t check condition of top end thru exhaust, maybe a score, or scored.

The drive case was most likely cracked due to improper alignment of the bar adjuster. I have found that adding a bucking spike will stiffen the case and tie the broken parts together.
