I got my XP-1000 out of the garage today & was going to take the bar & chain off to put on a different saw.Something told me to try to fire it up.I usually only pull a saw over 15 times, then if it doesn't start I'll prime it.It hasn't been run in over a yr.& still had good fuel in the tank.It started on the 14th pull & was really screaming at a high idle.Last yr.I thought the saw needed crank seals & I really didn't have a big enough tree to cut this yr.to justify using the 34 in.bar & chain on it.....yet.I have a good size oak that needs to be taken down, but that won't happen till fall.Anyway,I backed the idle screw out till it idled the way it should & it sat on my lawn idling for at least 5 min.without changing idle speed at all.No crank seals needed IMO.
