I finally got one of my dream saws, a 1050, but she has some issues.
At some point in its life someone gave up on the “auto” part and removed everything, slapped on a non auto oiling case cover, clutch, side cover, etc.
Me being me I want to add it all back on and bring it back to its former glory. I know some parts are very hard to find, but if there’s an odd chance someone has a 1050 AO drivecase cover, oil pump worm gear, and a 1050 side cover, muffler cover. Specifically P/Ns: A-64264-B 63893, A-64074, 63733
If there’s any way to modify the non auto oiling drivecase by drilling I’m open to experimenting, this one has a small crack down the front of the cover so it doesn’t mean much to me.

I'm not saying you couldn't find the parts but probably be better off to watch for a parts saw.

I'm not saying you couldn't find the parts but probably be better off to watch for a parts saw. How right you are! Finally got back in town and looked it over. Different crank, side cover, clutch, drivecase cover. Looks like my dream saw is now a 1050 with XP 1020. I guess I can call it a XP-1050 (lol) Bummed it’s not what I’ve wanted, but a Homelite is a homelite. Maybe one day i can bring it back to what it should be. For now, it’ll stay a cross breed between a 1050 and 1020.

You wanted a xp 1020 , I don’t know much about them , but I have 2 xp 1020 and neither has a clutch side cover . Which I can’t find either. My # is 541-521-1975 . If you message xp1020 then I’ll know and you should call.
