Forgive me if I've posted this before, I tend to repeat myself. Late middle age thing? Haha. Anyway, I acquired this 1958 Zip a few years ago. I posted the serial number on Chainsaw collectors forum and so far it is the lowest serial number known. Somebody here has to have an earlier one!??! Attachments:

Nope, 7 digit, starts with 1094. My other two are Zip-B, later versions.

I assume you're asking about my early Zip? When I first got it, it ran great. The it started having some issues of hard starting etc. A friend did some tinkering on it and it ran a lot better. Now it's has issues again. Harder to start a bogs out at WOT. It has the old Brown carb so I think I need to get a kit from sugar Creek and do a rebuild.
