Yeah,I picked up another SEZ for $45.I've been watching them go for $100 or more on feebay.I was thinking that there must be something wrong with it for me to get it so cheap.I got it delivered today & had a few minutes before supper to go through it quickly. It has great compression & spark. It's the older points style saw,lot # B7215.I'm not familiar with lot #s in determining age.It is complete with a good bar & chain. The only things I could see that weren't right were the spark plug was wrong & the PO put a wood screw in one of the recoil bosses, must've lost a screw.I suspect that it'll need a carb rebuild & possibly a new fuel line & at least a new filter.Pics to follow.

At least you picked a saw to be obsessed with that isn't terribly expensive to collect. How many does that make for you now? Lost count?

This was probably the easiest "fix" I've had in yrs.I had a feeling this saw would be easy.I put a new fuel filter on,the correct plug in it,& reset the needles that were way ouit of whack. It fired up on the 12th pull! Someone had been in it previously & replaced the fuel & oil lines.as Bob Johnson used to say "even a blind squirrel gets lucky & finds a nut once in a while".

Well it's been almost 6 months since I fiddled with this saw.I got home from a dr.appointment & decided that today was the day that I'd put a helicoil in where the wood screw had been.I got it finished, put the recoil cover on & found that I needed to put another helicoil in,this time I had to remove the front carry handle as the helicoil was on the lower left, right by the handle. That helicoil was a bit tricky as I had to watch how deep to dril the boss out & not go toofar lest I go into the fuel tank.I got it finished & thought I'd give it a shot at starting it.It fired right up after sitting all that time! P.S.I'm back doing light saw work again.

Glad i'm not the only one with a SEZ problem lmao but you're worse then me i only have 7 sez and 1 super mini several of which i have had to send to Leon over the years to have some repairs done to get them back to 100%, Infact i believe i now have 1 of the earliest identified super minis on this forum. I purchased it from someone else also on this forum and they told me the story about it and linked me to the identification thread he started asking about the year and was told it was now the earliest Terry mini so far to be listed here on HOH so of course i had to have it lol verfied date of thrursday october 4th 1973 and it is in near mint condition now and i have it on a shelf in my bedroom on display along with a older sez with the matching red/white oposing side and a old unopened can of sae30 2 cycle homelite oil in the middle of the display.
My wife always gripes and says i have a chainsaw problem that i am probably the only man in the world that has my entire collection of vintage and newer saws displayed in the house on shelves rather then out in the garage or something lol I told her i have to keep them climate controlled and out of the elements but she doesn't really buy that but i told her I just refuse to keep my saws outside. Gotta love her i'm sure not many wives would be ok with chainsaws on display all over the house in various rooms.
