Saw powered Gocarts

Ive allways loved these old Single and Twin saw powered carts. Im not how well they would run with me on top, but it would be fun to find out.


First up is a twin XL-98 powered cart.


The gearing is wrong and it has oldschool Megaphone pipes on it, but its still cool.

Yes, you can tell by the sound that the gearing is to tall.
But cool none the less.

Apparently they liked them this way, looks boring for general use, but here on the track where their not going below 20mph they dont sound too bad.

Here is a kart powered by a Disston KB7. You will notice a complete change in the engine. I sent three engines to this builder and he is reworking them for karts. Maybe someday I can afford to have him build me one.

If the weather is decent this weekend I will be headed to the track for a Kart swapmeet. Hopefully I can snap a few pics of a few karts running practice laps.
