Should be kit number RB-15. Look on side of carb for other numbers, such as 20-01, Just to be sure.

I asked this very question a week or so ago and bobby167 was nice enough to provide me with the same answer. Since then, I have done some additional fact finding via internet searches and input via Leon. For my ZAMA carb (SXL UT: 10045-A, Zama carb C-2, (20-02)) the correct answer is the Rb-15. However, this is the "current" version of the major rebuild kit for my carb that was produced 40+ years ago. The rebuild kit back then that is now named Rb-15 was the KR-8. The KR-8 kit from Zama (i.e. OEM) had the full 16 pieces as listed in the Homelite IPL for the SXL. However, the newer Rb-15 I beleive only comes with 11 pieces. The missing pieces are things like the springs that go around the external lever of the accelerator/idle lever and the two springs around the hi/low screws/needles. Not to mention the spare Hi/low screw included in the older kit. I found the older KR-8 kit made by ZAMA (did not buy a third party replacement vendor product) on EvilBay for the same price as the current Rb-15 after a few rounds of "Make an Offer" negotiations. Therefore, I bought the older kit just to have the additional parts on hand should I ever need them. In my opinion, this beats having to have a donor carb in stock just in case I need one of these parts down the road. However as I mentioned earlier, about 95% of the time the Rb-15 kit will do the job. In my opinion, don't bother with the minor repair kit (ZAMA Part #: Gnd-8) as it is only about 80 cents cheaper than the Rb-15 and you get more pieces with the Rb-15. The other thing I noticed is the newer Rb-15 comes with an additional gasket than the KR-8 kit. I asked Leon about this and he said he does not use the additional gasket from the Rb-15 kit as Homelite did not use it in their specs. Remember, these kits are for multiple versions of carbs and different chainsaw manufactures have different requirements/specs. I can only assume, some other chainsaw manufacturer wanted this additional gasket for some reason for some other carb that uses this kit as well. I have not tried to install the KR-8 kit as I have it for "someday" use.
