Very interesting Homelite logo....never seen it before!

Hi Guys,

 I was looking at old Homelite ads and glanced down to the bottom of this one...........and saw a Homelite logo I've never seen before.  Anyone familiar with this logo?  Looks pretty 'new age' for the '50's! Looks like the New England Patriots logo.......50 years early.
