Good morning group, so what would a nice and clean 3100 w/ a long bar and helper roughly go for? I have the opportunity to pick one up.

Do you have a pic of the starter side of the saw? Reason I ask is the muffler and cylinder look very much like an 1130, not a 3100. This person may be trying to scam. An 1130 is still a nice saw, but it's like comparing silver to gold as far as value.

The Vintage Chain Saw Collectors Corner Facebook page shows this saw with lots of comments about not being a 3100 but
an 1130 painted to look like a 3100 .

I see what others are saying now about the cylinder and the spark plug location, the 3100 spark plug should be on the left side and the 1130 on the right. I'll call the guy and ask him what the history of the saw is. Thanks guys for the help.

So I spoke with the guy and he wasn't sure what the saw was so he "assumed" it was the 3100 but we both agreed it is infact the 1130 so we have a much better price for it now. Still gonna get it!

1130s are going for a good bit lately, and you don't see nearly as many as a few years back. Seems like there used to be one every couple months on feebay, but can't remember when I saw the last one. Definitely a saw worth having.
