I'm UK based and trying to get my Homelite 550 up to a great working condition. One thing I need at the moment is two Duck Bill Check Valves for the fuel and oil caps. I can get them in this country but they are not as cheap as they appear to be in the States. Does anyone know if the Poulan check valves are a suitable alternative? I can get them easily and cheaply. Part number 530026119 I think.
Alternatively, is anyone willing to ship 2 to the UK at a reasonable cost please? I can buy the item on ebay at (my equivalent) £1.76 but postage is £14.46!! I'm also checking with one of my local suppliers but they are showing out of stock at the moment. Or possibly what's the cost of 2 new caps assuming the check valves on them are in good condition...

Both Stens and Oregon sell the duck bill valves ( Part number 610-345 and 07-004 respectively ) . Check with your saw or
mower shops to see if they can order from either supplier locally if you don't want to deal with international shipping .

Thanks - I've checked with 3 local Oregon suppliers, only one has got back to me so far and they say Oregon don't supply them anymore - but that might just be for the UK market. Thanks for the Stens part number - I'll search on that one.

Just to update on this - I only heard back from one of the 3 local Oregon suppliers I contacted - and he didn't have any. I didn't manage to find any in the UK against the other part numbers so ended up ordering from the USA via a friend of mine who lives over there (I'm UK based). Not had chance yet to fit and try them, but fingers crossed I don't need any more during my term of ownership. Hopefully that is the last bit I need to get the saw fully working - everything else seems to be ok!
