youtu.be/YIcgfFjzZnEInteresting channel. This saw ultimately fails, but he is not giving up. He has a build series related to this saw and is going to try porting some more Homelites.

I followed his videos for that. Interesting. If you’re able to do that type of modifications it looks like fun.

The saw is turning a lot faster than it was engineered to run.
It may have been that the bottom end loosened enough to allow the ring to hang.
It will be interesting to see how his builds turn out.

Yeah interesting for sure. The XL130 & XL76 have some pretty impressive power when stock for a 58cc. Not sure you really need to crank them up much more but, why not I guess!
That XL76 that he ported was really howling. I’ve never heard my 130’s or 76 scream like that. I keep them pretty heavy on the high jet for safety.

yes Tinman is a Canadian that likes to play with modifying and porting chainsaws sthil and husqvarna are common project saws , has turned to something different, Homelites, his channel is down to earth really interesting . The XL-76 he worked on he took out the web on the exhaust port , that saw ran like you never saw a XL-76 run way faster and harder than factory set up .Modifying saws is fun ,He mentioned he had to push the limits to see how far he could go . And he found it, ring hung in exhaust port-game over. He has saws lined up for rerbuild #2 game on
