Hi All,
We had to evacuate due to the Almeda fire that started in Ashland yesterday and swept up the Rogue Valley. Our family is safe, but based on initial reports of fire damage, a significant portion of our town is burned. Until the roads in reopen, I won't even be able to assess whether the store's inventory still exists. Please bear with me, I'll update as soon as I can.
Thanks,
Leon

Hey has anyone heard from TJ, isn't he in the same area? I hope he and his family are safe too.

I texted TJ earlier but haven’t got any response yet
Two fires burning in my neck of the woods currently on level 1 (on notice for potential evacuation)
Praying for everybody affected.

That's tragic news Leon. Thankfully all of you are safe. We all hope everything is well at home also. Many times just worrying about the unknown is worse than the event, so just hoping that'll be the case for you also and everything is fine.

Thank you all! I hiked into Phoenix today and was able to confirm our house and neighborhood was spared. So at this point we're just waiting for the official word that we can go back. Given some of devastation close by, we are beyond blessed. It may be several weeks before I can bring the store online. Until I have power and internet restored, I won't be able to do much. Hoping to get back in sometime in the next few days, but we'll see.

That's awesome news Leon, but we're still worried about all the others who were affected.I'm concerned for TJ & Rowdy who were also in the path of the fires.

TJ also let me know he is okay, but still monitoring wind and weather conditions closely as we all are.
Thanks all

I was able to chat with TJ a bit too...as long as those crazy winds don't whip up again, his town should be okay. The whole PNW is tinder dry, so any little change in the wind can be catastrophic. The news reports i read this morning indicate over 10 percent of Oregon's population is under an evacuation notice. I've been in Oregon over 30 years and this is truly unprecedented. We have big fires, but not 10-15 at the same time!

Praying for you Leon, I haven't been on here in a while but those fires actually brought me here today. I was going to make a thread about those living in that area and praying for them all. Because of this forum I have made several good friends out on the west coast. Thanks to the chainsaws I have actually met someone in my neighborhood that works as a fire fighter out west. He has been gone from home for a couple of months now so I've tried to help his wife around the house with their two young kids at home. I pray that you and your loved ones pull through this. Also praying for others here that may be affected.
