I inherited a Homelite chainsaw. I’m not sure the model number. On the motor area there is the number 10537A. The chain bar has the part number PT-16381-D3. The manual has number 23754-C on the cover. See photos appended to end of post. Does anyone know the actual model number? It is likely between 30 and 40 years old. Also , I am trying to determine the correct replacement chain. Is PT-16381-D3 the part number I should be looking for, or should I be looking for a cross reference against the model number somewhere? Does anyone have a source(s) for the correct chain? Thanks, Stephen Attachments:

Hello Stephen and welcome to House of Homelite. That's a nice looking Super EZ you have! These are one of the best and many people regard them as their favorite Homelite. PT-16381-D3 is the bar's part number. Power Tip, 16" 3/8" pitch, and D3 refers to the mount. For a new chain, you'll need to look for 3/8" pitch x .050 and pretty sure the 16" bars use 59 drive links. Not low profile, this is regular 3/8' chain. You can count your drive links to verify. Your chain actually looks not bad from the pic, just likely needs a sharpening. If you're gonna use it alot, it does make sense to have a spare though. I haven't bought new chain in ages, so not really sure what's on the market, but I'd look for some old stock Homelite brand or possibly Oregon. Stihl chain used to be make really good chain, not sure about recently though. Leon may well have some chain to sell, as well as Joyce. Feel free to ask any questions that may come up with the saw. Plenty of people around here that know these inside and out.

There should be a Serial Number on the ID tag right below the UT number, with the SN the exact date of manufacture can be established . An Oregon D59 , "S" brand 33RS-59 , are a couple of options for a new chain .

Wow, everyone is super helpful and friendly! I really appreciate the information.
The serial number is 2C1950395. Does this convey any information about the saw, like year built, etc.? I know sometimes serial number are formatted to do so, sometimes not.
Followup question. At home (where I'm currently not), I have an inexpensive chain sharpener which has worked well for me. It is a Buffalo Tools ECSS Electric Chainsaw Sharpener.
I'd like to purchase another for a lake house in another state (where I am now with the Super EZ in my post (it was my father-in-law's)), but the Buffalo sharpener above is currently out-of-stock at Amazon, Home Depot and Lowe's. I think it's likely a victim of coronavirus supply chain issues.
Are there similar affordable sharpeners anyone would recommend? In looking at a few suggested by Amazon, the reviews indicate their quality is pretty sketchy, so I'm looking for recommendations from knowledgeable chainsaw owners.
As a followup to my first inquiry, tomorrow I'll have the chain sharpened, reassemble the saw, and begin cutting up 2 downed trees on the property. I'll also buy a Oregon D59 as a spare. Couldn't have figured it out without your help!
Thanks, Stephen

I attached a photo of the specs on front, which match the specs Dan told me. I counted the links and there were 59 drive links. What is the mount, which is noted as "D3"? Also, what is the 061 above the PN? Attachments:

One more question. See detailed photo of chain. What is the "38" stamped into the guide teeth? Thanks for all the answers, Stephen Attachments:
