Does that fit the XL-12/XL Automatic?

It looks very similar, but I'm not sure it will clear the upper right airbox mounting screw. Let us know how it fits!

I received an email that they are on back order. It might be a long wait.

I received the new reeds. The main big black block is to deep. You have to use an original one. If you change that piece out and only that piece then it will bolt up just fine. I am moving onto testing it in the cut next.

4 reeds for $12 - cheap, cheap, cheap. Most of the time 1 reed sells for that much.As long as your old reed cage is good I'd consider it to be a good deal.

The aftermarket reed cage is a better design. It has a pyramid shape to channel the air on the inside of it. Every part of the aftermarket setup is useable out of the box except the main big block.
I started it and there is definitely a noticeable improvement in throttle response. I haven’t cut with it yet.

The reeds themselves will install onto the factory cage.

Thank you for the updates . difference in reed material could also mean a difference in tension on reeds on pyramid , and the way the saw runs . Great to know the reeds fit the factory pyramid .This would be great ,as far as replacement reeds if it works out. Let us know how it is in the cut .

First attempt ran lean in the cut. I believe it’s a carb problem because I have not rebuilt or disassembled the carburetor yet. It ran fine at idle for the first test so I didn’t think it would need work. The metering lever is most likely a little off.
