I Red Koted a fuel tank on the SEZ that had a couple of issues. The first issue the saw had was the plug hole was stripped out.I put an insert in it & it seemed to hold up for the short time I had the saw running a couple of months ago.I just put some fuel in the tank & I'll keep an eye on it for a few days to make sure it doesn't leak anymore. Now I need to find a carb that'll work without having to mess with the check valve on it.I've got 9 HDC carbs in the NFG pile, surely one of them has to be good.

The Red Kote didn't work,it leaked like a sieve.I decided to tear the saw down & put a new tank on it.All was going well till I found that somehow I broke the left ear off the engine casing by the reed valve.Needless to say I was totally pissed. That's the 2nd saw I ruined like that.

Tough break Ed, but you've got spares I'm sure Never been a huge fan of Red Kote, its got its place but I've never had great success with fixing leaks with it.

This was my 2nd tank that I've Red Koted. The first tank I did last yr.on my Mac SP125 & it turned out good.As for spares - the engine is toast once that ear breaks off.IMO it's the chinziest part of the saw, don't know why they made the rest of the saw so good. The Achilles heel of the saw.I've got about 23 other SEZs,Super Minis,& XL-1s,so I suppose if I lose one to stupidity & gorilla hands on my part it isn't so bad.
