OK, forget what I said above. The serial on this saw is 2895634, the AO means it is an automatic oiler and that is not part of the serial number.
Obviously a US saw, a little rare.
Probably made in October or November of 1968. The 7 digit serials are not decodeable by any known method but Joyce Wilson kept records for 50 years by comparing your sn to her list, this is about the time frame.
You can also check the carburetor for a date, it would be on the edge of the flange, stamped in the metal. That will tell you the saw was build sometime soon after the date shown there.
