Well the 26LCS is the 2nd gas powered saw Homelite made and is desired somewhat. Looks sorta similar to the 5-30 but has the float style carb like the 20MCS so it has to turn the carb to cut sideways.

Think they were destined for the International market, there are 3 over in Sweden . It's a 50 year old chainsaw with C.D.I. that's unique to the XL-114 . Very cool !!! and collectible ! Post up a picture of the ID tag please ! Thanks

Hey did you get them in Williamsport Pa? The 26LCS looks like the one being offered, missing the pull cord. Well I asked about them and he immediately changed the ad to sold so I'm thinking it was you.👍

It's been a while since I worked on one of this, but if I remember correctly, there is an index pin between the starter rope drum and the starter hub. So the pulley may be a bit of work coming off initially. Once you get to that point, you've got to get the spring and starter housing to work it's way over the starter hub. It's not terribly difficult once you can see what you are working with.

That will be a tough one...I've never had that part in stock. You'll have to hope there is a part# stamped into the condenser case and then hope again that there's some info on interchange floating around the web!

Leon, you got stuck on a 26 LCS (I think) back in Oct.2018.The original condenser was shooting spark 1/4 in.which gave you the false impression it was good. Finally you ended up replacing it & all was good.
99tahoe,you might want to give Bob Johnson a call to see if he has the parts you need,607-638-9297.

I think that was the old Mall 2MG I was working on at the time; IIRC I used a coil and condenser from the XL-123 to get it going!

Would not surprise me if Chainsaw Lady had some condensers in stock but they are for now unobtainable.
