I just bought a Homelite OEM piston kit for one of my C9's for $40 + free shipping. The seller originally wanted $46.99 or MO.Yesterday we haggled back & forth & got nowhere.Today I offered $40 & he accepted it right away.Funny thing too because that was my final offer yesterday.I think that was a good price for the piston, pin, rings,& clips.I hope to get some actual rebuilds done this winter providing my health holds up & I won't need any more unforeseen surgeries like last yr.

Where do you find parts for these? I have a couple of my grandfathers C-51's and C-9's and some that I'm not sure what they are because the covers have been replaced with other models. I assume this because the colors don't match. I have one C-5 that says Powermaster XP convertible drive and another C-5 that doesn't. I've had them since I was 14 and I'm 45 now and I'd like to keep them running. I used to cut firewood with them when I was younger and I also milled some beams with them, but haven't used them since 2008. Thanks for any input on where to find rebuild kits and such

First check with Leon, our administrator,& Joyce (chainsawlady).People here will direct you to go to eBay for parts, but I try to stay away from eBay for parts because they're usually overpriced & there are some 2nd rate parts there as well.I have several sources to go to for Homelite parts, but I always recommend Leon & Joyce as your 1st sources to go to.If they don't have what you need, send me a PM.
