I want to prep my xl 925 for restoration. How can I remove the ID tag without causing any damage to it ? Also, does anyone make reproduction tags for replacement ? Thank you, Tucker

I've used a razor blade to carefully pull them off. They curl a bit if it's the later "sticker" type, but with a bit of super glue, they'll lay back down flat.

Thanks for any help Welcome to the House of Homelite . Is there an ID tag on the saw with the UT and Serial number ? The numbers may help finding the correct part. Here is a pre-owned one that might work : www.leonschainsawpartsandrepair.com/apps/search?q=93930

I’m new to this forum. I have a multi color 1967 XL 700 Homelite Chainsaw that runs like new. It is red, blue and green. It was a one owner saw purchased locally where I live. A friend gave it to me. His dad bought it new from Linders equipment in Tulare Ca. I thought it had parts from different saws because of the difference in colors. I would like to restore this saw. I am missing the drivecase and having problems finding one. Is there someone on this forum that can help me? I just registered to HoH this morning. It sure how to maneuver. I am going to post my email address. My name on this forum is Philip396. My email address is philiphampton1953@gmail.com I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks Philip396
