Hey guys just picked this saw up and the Poulan F2000 behind it for $150. Pretty excited the poulan was only made from ‘58-60’ but more stoked at the homelites power. I’m in need of a muffler though as you can see from the picture and I think I’d like to change the bow off of it for safety reasons and just go to a long straight bar. Any idea what parts I’d need to convert this over? Also, I need to get a new air filter for it... is there such a thing available as a “new” air filter for this old saw? Thanks Guys Attachments:

Congratulations on your purchases at such a good deal & welcome to the House of Homelite! If our administrator Leon & our moderator Chainsawlady (Joyce) don't have what you need, then let me know & I'll put you in contact with someone who should be able to accommodate you. Your best bet is to download an IPL for your Homelite 2000 so you have the part #'s.

If you don't mind a little extra noise, you could put on the stack style exhaust instead of a muffler. They're very common and only one piece to deal with.

Finding a muffler for a C9 is next to impossible, but if you're patient it can be done.I found a NOS one for near $60 & I parted another one together for around $50,but I had to go all over creation to get the parts.Be careful of the parts on Ebay, the muffler cap that's on there I don't believe is the correct cap.
