I found this little red & white EZ that had the odd ball Phelon flywheel on it & I switched it over to a Wico system today, but it wouldn't fire for anything. Finally I did a compression test on it & after 10 pulls it only had 70 psi.Poor little EZAO.The only good thing about this little saw is that it'll become a donor.Back in March I had another little EZ that the drivecase broke by the handle mount & I've had that little guy torn down to just the engine just waiting for another EZ to come along & offer it's parts. Now between the 2 EZ's I can have one runner (hopefully). The only problem I might have is the one from March was a manual oiler only, whereas the one I was tinkering with today is an auto oiler. Are the drivecases interchangeable? I have another SEZ that I found that needs an ignition system,so the ignition from the EZ will go to the SEZ.Before I did anything else I popped a flywheel on the SEZ & did a compression test - 150 psi on a dry cylinder after 10 pulls.I'll start swapping parts over on it tomorrow.

The EZ manual only drive cases are shallower where the clutch cover mounts, the crankshaft is around 5/8" shorter to accommodate this, so they can't be interchanged.
I believe the Terry manual cases do interchange, they use the long crankshafts and a spacer on the manual saws to make up the thickness of the missing oil pump.

I knew the EZ & SEZ drivecase covers weren't interchangeable.
Wouldn't you know that I got the SEZ all ready to switch the ignition system over to from the EZ & found that it was an electronic ignition saw.No holes drilled for the screws on the breaker box.So I did the next best thing - I worked on a couple of Poulans.Lol
