NOTE: I think I posted this in the wrong forum to begin with. Sorry for the mistake.I am having a difficult time finding a flywheel (officially called a "ROTOR & STARTER PAWL" on the Homelite site) for a Super 2, Model# UT-10734AR. It is one of the last models of Super 2 with the plastic case and gas primer bulb integrated into the gas cap. The part# for the "ROTOR & STARTER PAWL" is listed as an A04158 in the Homelite IPL and shows "Part is No Longer Available (and none in stock)" if you try to order it. I found the flywheel from other Super 2 models does not appear to work on this particular model as they don't stick out far enough to engage the starter pawls and the ignition is different. I will appreciate any info on where to find this item. Al BCMktg@gmail.com

most of these part numbers were changed changed when john deere screwed i mean bought the company in 96. any super 2 flywheel would work as it is for an electronic coil. ck in with a local saw shop and see if the have a saw graveyard you could look through.

I'm with Todd, My books show a xl-2 0r super 2 to be the same as long as your using a solid state ignition rotor with a solid state ignition. The point ignition takes a different rotor, which fits the point ignition only

I will post a picture of the saw with the flywheel on it in the hopes that will help. ok i found the new part number it is UP03856A good luck Thanks for the updated part number. That should help a lot.

HI BCMKTG-
If the new flywheel, you obtained, fits your saw and the recoil pulley does not fit then change the recoil pulley, it is an easy job to do. I have found that the flywheels from the older ignition points saws work fine with the newer pointless systems. Make sure the flywheel magnets match up with the poles on the coil. Use a 3X5 File Card to set the air gap. I have the pulleys if you need one.
