HI all
I bought this 330 new back in the eighties it has always had this leak. I put the saw back in the case when I'm done cutting
and the next day the bottom of the case is full of oil. Not all the oil runs out but just enough to make a mess and I have to wipe out the case again.
All help appreciated
Wes

I believe the pump is operated by crankcase pressure, which in turn may pressurize your oil tank.I think what's happening here is the residual pressure in the tank is bleeding off forcing oil to continue to come out.Try "burping" the tank, crack the oil cap to release any remaining pressure, then close the cap & put the saw away & see what happens.

Thanks
I will probably be using it next weekend to cut down a dead tree in my back yard.

Let us know how it comes out. Another potential leak area is where the oil hose exits the tank- its a special hose that flares out to seal. When the saw is sitting upright oil is in contact with that area as well.
