I've had a XP-1020 for several years and just got it running.😀 This one will be up for a future restoration. My question is about the rear cylinder shield. The 2 mounting holes were broken/gone. A shield off of any of the C series saws will bolt right on fine but all of the ones I have are different than the original. I'm fine with using one of the shields in my parts stash but would rather use a correct one if possible. Does anyone have a good condition shield for a XP-1020? The pictures show the difference. The one on the left is the original one. Or if someone knows what should actually be on it, I would appreciate the info. Attachments:

Correction, the top picture is the original one to the XP. The other is off of a C-9.

It originally came equipped with a plastic plug cover. You can use the all metal shielded cover but with the exhaust shield you may not be able to access the plug without removing the exhaust cover first.

Yes it does have the exhaust shield. Maybe I'll have to post in the wanted section to see if anyone has a good cylinder shield now that I know what the correct one is. Thanks classec

My XP-1020 runner and parts saw both use this shield.

My XP-1020 runner and parts saw both use this shield. That's the one I need!
