I got this 2000 in a large saw and parts purchase a few years ago. The guy that I purchased the lot from had it on his bench disassembled as he was going to restore it. We scraped the parts off of his bench into a box. I figured something would invariably be missing. I finally got around to checking it out so I figured that the best thing to do was reassemble it to see what might be missing. I got an IPL out and began matching screws and parts to their proper locations. I was surprised that every single part was there. It has spark and very good compression. The starter rope is going to give up very soon though. There may be hope for it.

Wow, that is a minor miracle, to have all the parts. Your plan to assemble for inventory was still good, the odds of having everything would in my book be zero. I will have to alter my book now.
The resulting saw looks pretty good, well done.

Nice! I've got a 2000 that I've been itching to start. Having all the parts in a deal like that is a true score.
