Saw this one online, seems to be a military version, can that be?

Looks to me like a smaller model, maybe a 2" Very hard to tell from the pictures. The plate next to the air filter likely has the model stamped on it. It appears to be an 8 size engine but the pump does not match the 8S series.

I do not think it is military, it would have a shielded spark lead and be painted drab, looks like ordinary commercial paint. It also looks like it has irrigation pipe adapters on it, for quick attach fittings. Perhaps it was used on a farm.

Here is a shot of the IPL cover listing the 8S pumps with a picture of what they look like. Note the inlet and outlet on the pumps are different.
Someone else will be along with more info I am sure.
