You could always fill it with concrete... I contemplated dynamite... Pools...nice when they’re open and all the work is done. They suck to open and close though. This is only my second opening. It’s pretty friggin nasty this year!!

Yikes, might as well throw a gator in there and let it become it’s own eco system. Last summer I was tasked with decommissioning a semi In ground pool for a family friend, only after I accepted the job did I find out it hadn’t been used or cleaned In going on 4 years. Nasty horrible job that was

Many around these parts have converted their pools to salt water. They say it is easier and cheaper to maintain.

This pool has a salt cell. But apparently you need to add actual chlorine to kill algae.

It froze overnight here in Minnesota 2 nights ago with reports of snow. We did not see any.

The fire truck will get winterized today. Pull the gauges, bring them in. Close drains and add antifreeze to the pump system, slosh it around. Stow dried equipment that was removed wet from last event, park for the duration.
