Just picked up a pristine 8800 with OEM 43" .404 bar. the chain is an original Homelite chain even. I am wanting to purchase a new chain and was wondering how many drive links the chain is without counting(lazy)?

Welcome to the House of Homelite.
With the bar make and part number it is often possible to get the chain length from a chart.
It's always best not to be lazy, there are a lot of ways to go wrong buying chain without counting.

Thanks for the replies, the bar is an original Homelite bar made in the USA and the numbers are this: B83T 6100 SP 43403 G2
How rare is the 8800 and what kinds of value do they bring?

It is in really good shape, muffler a little rusty with but it starts on the third or fourth pull and runs out good.
