Ok guys. What is the general bench procedure to get you really close to getting your saw to run good before you try to cut a log. Mine is idling pretty good but when I go to cut make a cut is sort of bogs down. It will rev up good without a load. General tendency would be to lean it some but I think that might be the wrong way to go. it is so hard to adjust these big homelites while they are running.
Thanks Steve

I am guessing this is the tillotson HL caburetor on your super Wiz 80? If so, the tillotson manual says 1 1/4 turns out on the high and 3/4 turns out on the low for initial settings. If you’re there or pretty close I would try leaning out 1/8 turn or so and trying again. You don’t want to go too lean so have to be careful of that. A lot of things can cause bogging in the cut aside from carburetor settings, so possible your issue could be deeper, but also possible could just be set wrong.
Good luck!

Yes this is the tillotson on the 80.I was not aware that the adjustment was 1 1/4 turns out on the high side. I have the low at 3/4 and it does idle pretty good. I had decided not to mess with it much until I got that leak fixed with the needle and seat. Steve
