Thanks for the info! This one has manual oiling only someone on Facebook said that's rare not sure if that's true or not

The manual oiling SXL is definitely more rare than the SXL-AO, which is probably one of the most produced homelite’s ever, production lasting well into the 90s. Rare is kind of a subjective word, but definitely not one you see everyday. Acres’ site (which is questionable at times but generally a good reference) shows the non-auto SXL stopped production in 1968, so I would say “rare” but not a unicorn either. Either way , post up some pics when you can!

The term "rare" gets used loosely in the world of collecting. I would classify the super XL as "uncommon". Don't be disappointed though as this is a very desirable saw. Good score!
