OK Leon, our interest has been piqued, what is so special about this XL-400 other than it's coming from overseas?I know there weren't a lot of these saws made.Is that what makes it an odd ball? Ed

Crikey I was watching that one as well. I told the vendor it was a floating power model, but he didn't update the listing. Glad it is going to a good home!

Ronaldt got it...it's a floating power model! I've only seen a couple others to this point and they've mostly been overseas. The vibration isolation stuff is very similar to the XL-Mini Floating Power; quite bulky and probably not worth it in terms of vibration reduction. I'll take better pics once it arrives.

I just won a XL-400 on Ebay...but not just any XL-400, this one is special. As long as it survives the trip across the Atlantic Ocean, I'll have another oddball for the collection! XL-400 FP (a)
XL-400 FP (b)
XL-400 FP (c)
SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can hear the excitement all the way to here in western New York. Congrats, job well done. My first thought, were saws with rare designs, sent to the pro loggers for field testing? Any literature stating when the saw was brought to the market. We will wait for the video.

As soon as it gets here and I get it running, I'll do a full video with it and include some cutting.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I didn't want a refund, I want the damned saw! But there isn't even a way to contact the Global Shipping folks, not that they'd care anyhow. I'm guessing the seller didn't empty all the gas out and it became a Hazmat issue.

Man, that is the worst! That ebay global shipping program is really a rip off, makes it easier for sellers to ship internationally but they are ridiculously picky about things!

I had the same trouble. Even though they refunded my money. Even sucks for the seller also as he won’t get his saw back.
