Anybody have an opinion on vacuum testers? I’m looking at the Mityvac 8510. I had the plastic model, it broke, and want something stronger. I will use it for a variety of repairs, I just don’t know if there are other brands. Thanks R&R

I have the Mityvac 8500 something or other. It's the die cast metal one you are looking at. It's a great tool, well made and it does both vacuum & pressure which can be handy, especially with saws.
It's rebuild-able if you mess it up somehow. There are simpler versions available, that just do vacuum and are much cheaper but I like the Mityvac. I had the plastic version since the late 1980's and it lasted a long time. When it gave up I went with this version, much more heavy duty and I'm happy with it, no complaints.

I also use the MityVac 8500. It's worth every penny in my book.

Another vote for the Mityvac MV8500 Silverline Elite Kit ... Top quality, professional grade.
The MV8510 is the same Silverline Elite vacuum/pressure pump .. just without the custom case and accessories.

I read in the reviews of the product that the 8510 was a vacuum and pressure tool, and the 8500 was just vacuum. I want the whole kit. I want to try pressure testing a carb. I can’t tell if they are bad by looking at them unless it’s fairly obvious.... Thanks for the info!

I use the Mityvac Silverline Elite, "MITMV 8500". It's perfect for anything chainsaw and more.
