It's a long story why I'm creating this thread so I will keep it short and sweet. Maybe all the experts already know this but this weekend I discovered that the cylinders from a C-5,C-7,and C-9 all are stamped with the same number (58174-A). I can see the C-5 and C-7 being the same as they both have a 2" bore. The C-9 confuses me though as it has a slightly bigger bore (2.0625"). I checked 2 C-9 cylinders and they are both stamped the same as the two smaller cc saws. Then I measured the C-7 and it is a 2" bore and I measured one of the C-9's and it measured 2.0625". Why would they put the same part number on two different cylinders?

There's a pad off to the right of the casting number...the C-9's should have an "1" just to the left of this machined area. This designates the 58174-A1. Why they chose to make the cylinder part# this close together is anyone's guess I'm afraid.
