Welcome to the House of Homelite.
That appears to be an aftermarket rebuild kit, typically the genuine Tillotson kits do not contain the
tan pump diaphragm(Teflon...supposedly better for ethanol fuels) ... at least the ones I've used.
The 2 carburetor to manifold gaskets contained in the genuine kits have different bore diameters and
are slightly thinner .. .770" x .029" -- .811" x .029" , than the factory gasket.
The original gasket #67631 has a slightly different shape and measures .745" x .035" .
Does your XL-130 have an ID tag and what are the numbers ?
This is good to know, wonder how come they don't send a paper specifying this,i got the same kit for my xl 76 carb, which manifold gasket should a person be using or does it make a huge difference?....bob
As long as the gasket isn't leaving any areas open to an air leak and the throttle bore isn't partly covered I don't think it will make a difference.
It's been a long time since I used an OEM Tillotson kit for anything except a few HL kits. I had forgotten Tillotson didn't include a teflon pump diaphragm.
I've been using Carbtech21 kits which are a lot more reasonable and have only had an issue with one HL kit that they replaced immediately.
I have bought a lot of kits from them and their service and kit quality is excellent.
Around me the repair shops seem to have one price for carb kits, $25. Other stuff coming out of the US is usually a bad deal as well due to the ever climbing cost of cross border shipping.
