OK. I see a lot of saws and parts saws and was just hoping that I might come across the replacement part you needed. The part is fine, the iD tag was destroyed. I need a starter cover or ID tag from a 1966 US built red, green, and white XL automatic

Could you have Sugar Creek Supply reproduce the ID tag as decal ? Not perfect , but might do until you can find a metal tag .

Charles Sugar Creek has a great selection of quality decals, but I don't recommend anyone waiting for a custom decal that hasn't already been produced. I'm been email Joe for several years now about some XL-870 & Xl-875 decals...good thing I'm not in a hurry!

I ask Joe about a vinyl tag on another saw and he said he wasn't interested or couldn't reproduce a decal from a picture of the tag.

It's a metal tag. I got two estimates one for 290.00 and another for 324.00 Did you find a place that will make a new tag? There are several places that specialize in making metal ID plates. Generally they make hundreds for a company to put on their tools and machines and the cost is minimal, but a one of a kind metal ID plate that takes creating the design, and set up for one tag will cost several hundred dollars.

If you still need a tag let me know. I think I have what you’re looking for.

Am i to understand it is ok to use plastic(pvc) pipe for high pressure air? Dan I've seen it done a lot times but..... We went to a class years ago about plumbing an air system and they strongly recommended not to use PVC pipe. Galvanized pipe was what they stressed to use for 2 reasons, safety and cooling of the compressed air. I have my whole garage piped with cpvc pipe for my air lines. It is directly attached to an old wwII Curtis air compressor with 200 psi going through it. Whatever you do weather cpvc ,black iron, or galvanized pipe, just never use regular pvc. DWV or otherwise known as pvc is too brittle and will explode like a pipe bomb. Take this from a plumber. Spend the extra little bit and use cpvc which can go up to 600 psi, or pex tubing or iron pipe. I can't stress it enough, DO NOT USE PVC
