Looking for opinions on an electric benchtop chain sharpener. Ease of use, durability, best job sharpening. Thanks, Tim

Was that the Strongway grinder? The Oregon 510-120 is pretty pricey, $379.00 VS $194.00 for the Strongway. I was also looking at the Timber Tuff CS-BWM. The Oregon and Strongway had hydraulic assist where the Timber Tuff did not.

Yeah, I'm not sure why the link changed, but I was looking at the Strongway model. When I bought mine, I didn't care too much about the hydraulic assist...the tilting deck to allow grinding chisel chain was one of my highest priorities.

Has anyone looked at the Temco FP1000 chain sharpener? Looks very cool and has some good things said about it.

That is an interesting machine. I would worry about all the sparks aimed right at the machine, might gum it up pretty fast. Should have some kind of guard to bounce that stuff off somewhere else. It would not work on many chains, no extra or missing links allowed, only right, link, left, link. The next version will take care of that I suppose.
