Was considering converting my 1130G that wears a 42" .404" chain with a 8 pin rim drive to a 2:1 reduction to increase the chain speed. Looks like the replacement gear is P/N 592981. A few questions: How does on determine if the saw has a 2:1 or 3:1 gears installed? Am I better off buying lottery tickets than finding a 591981? Is 3:1 the better option as the saw's only real use is at GTGs?
Thanks! John

Am I better off buying lottery tickets than finding a 591981? Maybe! I've never had one come through my shop. The easiest way to confirm your current gear is to mark your sprocket and turn the engine over and see how many full engine revolutions it takes to make the sprocket spin once.
