I've got an XL-103 that the throttle lock doesn't want to work.I took the handle half off & found the trigger to be in good working order-not broken. The plastic bushing is in the handle half & is intact. On the exterior is the throttle lock pin & the spring. The decompression valve is working freely.I've looked at the IPL & it looks like all the parts that should be there are there. Is there some miniscule part that I'm missing? Ed
Edit:After looking at another IPL that groups all the XL-100 series together I've come to the possible conclusion that the throttle lock pin that's in the saw could possibly be the wrong one. There were 2 different throttle lock pins used - the most common one being 65592,which is in the saw now.It acts like it's too short & isn't catching on the trigger like it should. The other throttle lock pin that was used was 58924-1,which is different looking in the IPL & might possibly be longer.I can't find this throttle lock pin in Leon's store,or on Ebay.Any input to this theory is greatly appreciated.
