I recently acquired a Homelite YTD-8L. I also have a YTD-8S. The 8S has a Tecumseh V50-60077E which is original I believe. The 8L has a Tecumseh V60-70148H which I think was a replacement. I see a lot of information, manuals, and parts books for YTD-5, 6, 7, then skips to the 526s which I believe were the 1969 model. Did they not sell very many in 1968? Were they just using up parts from YTD-7s to get rid of them so they didn't bother printing up and information for the YTD-8s?

I'm guessing no one has any info on Homelite Yard Trac Deluxe YTD-8's.

Those are pretty interesting, here's hoping you find the information you need.
The hole for the oil stick/filler looks like it was made with an axe in the photo, is that what it looks like in person?

Someone at some point replaced the original 5hp Tecumseh with a 6hp Tecumseh off of something else. Unfortunately that engine had a oil filler/dipstick tube that needed some space to stick up through the hood.
