Sometimes I wonder if this category (really old saws from the 50's) should be renamed old upright/vertical cylinder saws. Maybe that doesn't have the same flair... Some of the saws talked about are actually from the early 60's. The 770 was made 62-64 and the Zip B into the late 60's. I don't want to ruffle any feathers as it's not a big deal at all. Just something to think about

There were modern ones also the 410, 540 and 8800, funny most of the early models were vertical, then they came back.

I didn't think about those newer ones having vertical cylinders. Best to leave well enough alone on the old saw category!

It appears that I might've been the one who possibly started this issue. I only put my questions in here because I couldn't find the proper category so if someone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
