Recently while cruising through some ads I found this old saw. I had my suspicions of a 7-29 or 8-29 so made a deal. Arrived in mail in one peice I was delighted to add this big saw to my collection. The fan shroud has been changed and so I.d. tag is gone. Cylinder cover is there but in need of repair and some funny buisness with drive case screws..also sweet muffler.mod that will need to get sorted out ... all in all intact and with some love hopefully a runner... scott Anyone have a I.d. tag and fan shroud ? Lol

Could also be a 5/30-5/30N. Measure the bore to determine. If it is a 5-30, I probably have a shroud.

I believe all 5-30 cylinder heads to be flat ..is this correct? This head is finned the same as 7-29 also wider tank on 7-29 ...

I would still measure bore 2 1/2- 7-29/8-29, 2 7/16- 5-30/5-30N.
