Good morning all, Can someone confirm for me that this is the correct bar configuration for my saw? www.acresinternet.com/cscc.nsf/BMP/14?OpenDocumentI just got this saw, tried using it at my brothers, but the chain was so dull I took the bar and chain off to get the chain sharpened, and now I can't seem to find the bar anywhere in my "selection" of bars in my garage. TIA R&R

TIA R&R Correct bar is Homelite “3” mount, or Oregon K095.

Here is a Homelite “3” mount (Oregon K095) bar on top of a Homelite 5 mount ( Oregon D196) bar.

I really appreciate the quick replies! I have all kinds of bars that look like your picture undee70ss. The crazy thing is when I measure the 9.5 mm I'm no where close to that length..the oblong hole length right? I'm old school inches and ft. I've had an epiphany here since typing that it must be width of hole since the conversion is under an inch...I wonder why the length isn't important. I also just took a closer look at me tape measure and the side opposite inches says "c" not "m"... I'd better enroll in bar basics 101 class. What's the 3 mount and 5 mount stand for? thanks again! R&R

TIA R&R That particular link from Mike Acres site is incorrect, not the mount for the Super EZ. It is the correct mount for the Super XL. So Undee70ss picture shows a Super XL bar underneath the Super EZ bar.
One of these days we need to compile a list to see if Mr. Acres can correct the Homelite section of his site.

R&R The 9.5 is the width of the slot 9.5=3/8", the size of the bar studs.
edit;
The other measurements that matter are;
Distance from the center of the bar slot to the oil hole. (Compared to the center of the bar stud to the oil port on the saw.
Distance down from the center of the bar slot to the adjuster pin slot.
The 3 & the 5 are just Homelites designations for the mount type. If you do a search, there is a decoder chart around here somewhere.

Mike is very willing to correct errors when there is definite evidence as to what the correct data is. His site is so extensive that he really does not look for problems in it, its not really possible for one person to do that sort of thing, so he relies on others to help. He gets a lot of email so sometimes he is months in answering, which really does not matter when the posting has already been up on his site for years. He does appreciate the help, he is a great guy.

Right, 9.5 is the diameter of the slot, which in inches is 3/8, and is used in the D196 mount. K095 is 8.2mm which in inches is 5/16.

I wonder why the length isn't important. The length of the slot is not important, and is not even the same, depending on who made the bar. NOS Homelite bars are made to fit Homelites, The Oregon K095 bar fits Homelites and Huskys.
