Hello all have a saw ez auto , researching this saw with HDC Walbro carb I watched several videos most of them were Leons thanks for them Leon . , needless to say this is a simple carb but a pain in the ...to tune ,after working on several times ,use only walbro kits u will come out ahead, screw the discount after market ..gaskets kept leaking on pump side ,after getting a walbro kit and A WALBRO STEEL screw { 462667 SCREW} got more torque, NOT ALUMINUM factory screw , and between gasket and screw the leak finally stopped . The quality of the parts u use says it all.

I've had a ton of leaks just like you are talking about and they've all been because of cheap aftermarket kits. I don't know what the formulation is there in the gasket material, but it is way too porous. Glad you got the saw tuned finally!

Funny (ironic) that I just had this happen a few days ago. I was working on an HDC for my son's 360 and it was running but I noticed it was leaking gas out the screen behind the carb. I took it apart and everything looked good so I put it back together and started it again, still leaked.
I ordered a new Walbro kit and went through the carb again, replaced it. No leaks now.
I'd never seen one leak like that but when I worked in the shop, all we used was genuine Walbro kits from Homelite. I hadn't thought about the possibility of an aftermarket carb kit being the issue until I read this thread. I bet that was the deal.
So I guess I'm on the "genuine Walbro carb kits" bandwagon.
