I read a lot of people have this problem. My XL 103 has an epoxy sealed oil tank. 2019-04-29-4223 by Johnny Walker, on Flickr From left to right: PLunger Assembly for Manual feed, Cap (missing O ring), Outlet vent for manual feed, Cap for manual feed check valve, Manual feed check valve, outlet valve for automatic feed including filter. I took all this stuff out (without removing the tank), sealed the top and check valve with thumb and fingers and blew air from compressor in bottom. Air leaked out at the seam. Remember when using the compressor DO NOT BLOW AIR THROuGH A CHECK VALVE in the wrong direction. The epoxy had cracked at the seam. Buy a motorcycle gas tank fixit kit for 15 to 20 bucks and Bobs your Uncle. Clean everything and put it back together

JUST a note about using the sealent. make sure you have all threads dummy screwed in as it is a bitch to get out of the threads. After cleaning out the tank with sand and gasoline. BLow out with air to dry and get all the sand out. I then put in a small amount (1/4 shot glass) of sealent and blew in some more air to make sure it was getting in the seam (you should see it leak out). I then blew through the internal channels between the manual pump and check valve to make sure there was no sealent blocking these. Let dry for 24 hrs with the leaky seam face down.
