I recently put some effort into part of my website that had really languished the past few years: owner's/operator's manuals. I've scanned everything that I currently own and bought a few reasonably priced manuals on Ebay. I have my father’s 1977 Super EZ chainsaw, the pull rope got stuck and when I removed the rope pully plate, the coil came undone. The original manual (Part No. 23754-C) doesn’t have a parts diagram showing how to put it back together. And I can’t find a video that matches how the rope pully and coil mechanism appear to be configured. The saw still works fine, just need help figuring out how to rewind the coil and reinstall.

Go to homepage. Scroll down to repair manuals. There is one there for the EZ. Also go down to Leon's chainsaw parts & repair. There are IPL's there. You probably need IPL 74522-A, if your saw has the cover with 2 screws. Can you post some numbers, on your saw, on the tag above the starter?
