Update: Light coat of PermaTex Aviation sealant and let the tank cure for 3 days in front of a fan with the cap off(humid here). Filled the tank w/ fuel and let it sit for 2 days ....no leaks. Looks like a good fix. Thanks for the help.

Dan Just in time...the Zip arrives via UPS tomorrow afternoon The ZIP gas line in the tank had degraded to a pool of melted rubber. I could not clean it adequately from the cap opening. Had to pull the tank, take the cover off and get the goop out. What a mess I cleaned both halves of the tank re-assembled with PermaTex Aviation and got another good seal job. I sure like that stuff.
