I do not have a book for my newly acquired super xl and wondering what spark plug people use. "Homelite Spark Plugs Saw List" posted in the Ignition System board... Super XL == Champion CJ6

Hi all, first time poster, with a super xl925. Regarding cj6, the package on mine says both cj6and rcj6. The actual plug only says cj6. R is resistor. Would that make a difference? My saw was built in 1993 I believe, so would have electronic ignition. Does year of saw matter for plug regarding resistor or no resistor? Thanks.

A resistor should not be necessary for a saw engine. In fact, a NR plug will have a better spark.
