It ran fine and came close to running out of gas, the next day it wont even try to pop off, tried mix gas in the carb, no pop off, seems to be spark, but how do i tell? TKs

Pull the plug, connect the wire to it and ground the shell of the plug to the muffler or something else metal. Pull the rope and look to see if the plug sparks.

It's possible that your transformer died.You might be able to get a used one from Chainsawlady.The last time I needed one I almost fell out of my chair when I went on Feebay,a new one was selling for $250,a used one wasn't much better at $150.I just checked on Feebay & there are several transformers there,but they're not cheap.The one that was there 6 mo.ago for $250 is still there,but it came down in price by $20,now it's $230.Lol There's really nothing to the transformer,just a bunch of foil windings encased in a hard plastic,almost like a condenser. Ed

TKs 360 IPL_17080 lists a C-D Test Lamp part # A-24994 for testing the ignition system. One on eBay .... hundred beans. Verify all connections, grounds, switch, and spark plug.

I used 5Terrysupersaws homemade testor and found the NGK plug was shorter than the CJ8 supposed to be in it and wasnt making good contact. a new plug solved the problem. thanks, all

I read somewhere that if you stuff a little steel wool in the transformer, you can get better contact with a slightly shorter plug.
