The first saw thatI bought as a collectible was a C-51. They are like potato chips, you cant have just one! I was wondering if there is any difference between a C-71 and a C-72? I dont have a C-71 so cant compare.

I thought the whole idea of the c serie's was they were convertible. Why would they be purchased otherwise. Dan

I would be surprised if there are any differences on the output side of the saw (where the different attachments would bolt on) but like i said, I don't have a C-71 to compare to the C-72. I guess I should dissect one of my C-51s and compare it to my C-72.

I'm seeing there are different part numbers for the needle bearing in the sprocket on a C-7 and a C-72. At one point I was certain they were the same but now I am second guessing myself. Later tonight I am going to pulldown a box of parts that has a new sprocket bearing for the C-72 (If I can find it) and verify but I figured I'd ask here and see if anyone knows off hand if the I.D. of each is the same.

According to the IPL's, both use the 55661 race and 55664 bearing in most instances (the rim drive setups can be a variation).

I have six of these C-series 1 C-51 3 C-52 1 C-5 1 C-7 1 C-9 and none of them have the green handle grip! I seen Donny boy 73 tinkering with one that had a green grip and said it was a Terry Industrys saw! So I am wondering is the saw with the green mean that it's a Terry?

As far as I know, every C-9 and C-91 should have come with the green grip no matter if they were Canadian or USA built.
